Who we are · Last updated: October 2026
Agency Tested is an independent review site for marketing agencies choosing software. SaaS tools, tested for agencies is not just our tagline — it is the entire method: we test tools inside real agency workflows, score them against a published methodology, and show our work on every page.
Why we exist
Agencies make some of the highest-stakes software decisions in business. The wrong CRM costs a year of migrated data and retrained staff; the wrong project tool costs missed deadlines and burned-out teams. Yet most “reviews” of agency software are written from vendor spec sheets, affiliate commissions determine the rankings, and nobody discloses either fact.
We started Agency Tested to fix that. Every review is based on hands-on testing over days or weeks. Every score uses the same published weights: agency features (25%), ease of use (20%), pricing value (20%), support (15%), integrations (20%). Every page carries an affiliate disclosure. When our findings are inconvenient — for us or for vendors — we publish them anyway.
What we publish
- Hands-on reviews — testing summaries, dual scores, full breakdowns, pricing tables, and verdicts.
- Head-to-head comparisons — two tools, same scenarios, clear winners by agency type.
- Alternatives roundups — every exit path from the market leaders, with migration notes.
- Pricing deep-dives — what 5, 15, and 40-person agencies actually pay, hidden costs included.
- Guides — buying advice for agencies choosing software.
The team
Agency Tested is run by an editorial team of people who have worked inside agencies — as account managers, strategists, and operators. We know what month-end reporting actually looks like, what client handoff day feels like, and how software decisions get made under deadline pressure. That experience shapes every test scenario we run.
How we are funded
Affiliate disclosure: Agency Tested is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. Vendors cannot pay for placement, scores, rankings, or verdicts, and affiliate relationships never influence test outcomes. Our testing is independent — see How We Test for the full methodology.
